How SmartSolve Water-Soluble Paper Facestock Works
SmartSolve Facestock is engineered from FSC-certified wood pulp fibers bonded with a natural cellulose binder. When the material contacts water, the cellulose dissolves instantly—releasing the wood pulp fibers to disperse in under 30 seconds with minimal agitation.
Unlike plastic films or PVOH-based materials, our facestock leaves zero microplastics behind. The dispersed wood pulp fibers are completely safe for drains and wastewater systems, and naturally biodegrade within 30 days through microbial action.
SmartSolve Facestock is a printable, heat-sealable packaging substrate that performs like traditional paper during manufacturing and storage, then disappears completely when disposed of in water, compost, or standard recycling streams.
