SmartSolve’s Family Oriented and Inspirational Event
On Monday, April 8th, SmartSolve hosted a solar eclipse event as Bowling Green, Ohio was directly in the path of totality. SmartSolve was also able to promote a new book, titled The Sun of Righteousness, written by our chemist Dr. Firew Gemeda, Ph.D., which describes the parallel between the physical sun and the spiritual son, referring to Jesus Christ.
This event hosted many individuals and families, as SmartSolve presented three educational station areas where guests could learn more about SmartSolve and the eclipse itself.
Meaningful and Educational Stations
Our first station at the event was led by Dr. Gemeda and included information about the electromagnetic light spectrum, a mini model of the Earth, Moon, and Sun and how the eclipse was made possible, as well as copies of his book, The Son of Righteousness. In addition to this, Dr. Gemeda was able to present his new book and share more about the details of it from our stage area.
The second station was led by Marty Lavey, our customer success technician, as his team provided samples of SmartSolve’s water-soluble paper. Guests were invited to write down their cares, worries, anxieties, or sins and place them at the feet of Jesus (the tub of water). As the paper dispersed in the water, so too did their cares, worries, anxieties, and sins. This was a physical representation of the verse, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).
Our final station was led by Ashleigh Hotz, SmartSolve’s director of sales and marketing. Guests were invited to pick up their solar eclipse glasses, learn more about SmartSolve’s product offerings and samples, and pick up a copy of Dr. Gemeda’s book as well.
Supporting Local Nonprofit Organizations in the Community
SmartSolve also invited two local nonprofits in the community, The Nest and The Bowling Green Pregnancy Center/Her Choice, to join in on the event and to engage with members of the local community that were present. We are grateful for the opportunity to support these nonprofit organizations as they strive to continually serve the individuals and families facing many diverse scenarios within the area.
The Nest states that their mission is to “serve families with the love of Christ by providing free early childhood education and Christian care for parents completing their education.”
The Bowling Green Pregnancy Center/Her Choice exists to support women who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies by providing life-affirming resources, education, and counseling support.
