Hi. Hi, I’m Jonathan from SmartSolve and, we’ve realized over the course of years of doing this that the the best thing we can do, for all of our stakeholders is to show how stuff dissolves. We have a pretty amazing innovation and we take it for granted every day because we get to work with it on emails and conversations and samples, but in many cases the innovation itself, sometimes isn’t demonstrated. So we wanted to bring you a new series that we’re putting on which is going to be a monthly innovation series where we demonstrate various ways that SmartSol materials are making an impact in this world. The first of those videos is one that comes on the heels of a very exciting announcement that we just received APR recognition as the first water soluble label to be approved for enhancing the recyclability of PET plastics. An example of that innovation is right here in my hands. You can see is a pretty traditional PET package, in this case for strawberries. And unfortunately many of the labels that are used on these plastic containers end up making this container no longer recyclable. When the material itself goes to the recycling center and it runs through the recycling stream and then these PET, the plastic itself, has turned into resins, those flakes end up being corrupted by the inks and the label itself because the adhesive doesn’t dissolve away. So we did an in-depth study. We spent months of research where we showed and demonstrated how a water soluble label, a smartsolv water soluble label, when it goes through that process would dissolve away, enabling the PET resin that comes from the flakes of these plastics to have, purity to be able to be recycled and reused once again. It was a huge and monumental moment for us and it’s one that we wanted to celebrate. So we thought in our first innovation video, we would demonstrate on camera here the nature of our water soluble label, what happens to it, and then obviously we’re not in a recycling center, but we are going to have some video content coming for you soon that will show you what actually happens in a facility and why what I’m about to show you here is so groundbreaking and so innovative. There are no other paper labels in the entire world of the how to recycle label that have achieved this status. We really have a novel innovation here and we’re excited to show it to you. So I’m going to turn on some water. As you can see it with the regular innovation, we’ll put this under the sink and you’ll notice why if this goes through a washing screen with water, that label is going to remain affixed to the PET plastic container, which therefore when that plastic container runs through the process of turning into individual flakes and, is extruded that, unfortunately, that material will be corrupted. So now let’s exchange this label for the smart salve label. Watch what happens. Now, the nature of the dissolvability of our label varies depending upon the temperature of the water, the amount of water in which it’s in, and the amount of obviously material that’s on the container. But as you can see with our tray secret dissolvable adhesive, a little bit of water at a warmer temp. What you now have in front of you is a clear PET container fit to be recycled. So I hope you enjoyed this initial video and what will be hopefully a series of videos where we continue to demonstrate the power of water soluble materials. And it’s why at SmartSalt with our mission statement of enabling people to better care for the planet by pioneering zero waste packaging technologies. That’s why our aim with this zero waste packaging, example is something that we think will help you create a better world. Thank you very much.
